“I believe it will become a new fashion icon around the world,” Samsung chief JK Shin.
It’s been in the IFA 2013 when Samsung has finally revealed its secret: the company is going to launch a Smartwatch and it will be available on September 25. The price will be around $299 and you must know that you can only use it with the Galaxy Note 3 or the Galaxy Note 10.1. And the name will be Samsung Galaxy Gear.
Regarding technical features, the smartwatch will support a 1.63-inch Amoled display, will be available in six colors and will include a 800MHZ processor and 512MB of RAM. A 1.9MP camera, two microphones, Bluetooth 4.0 and a battery of 315mAh -25 hours- are other important things to take into account. But what about the GPS? In addition, the device will allow you to make and receive calls and you’ll be notified about SMS updates. For security, there’s a function that allows users to send their location when tapping the off button three times.
If you were wondering about applications, MyFitnessPal and RunKeeper will be installed in the device, as well as other social services like Path and Highlight. Other various apps will come along after the smartwatch is launched later this month.
