PREVIEW: Real Racing 3
0
We have read today at Gameinformer that Electronic Arts is almost ready to launch Real Racing 3 for iOS. This doesn’t mean we should be jumping of joy, because there are already a lot of very good driving games both for Android and iOS. However, when we watched the video we felt that something can change soon in mobile gaming. We felt a great disturbance in the Force, to say it in other words, as if millions of engines suddenly stalled and were suddenly silenced.
Graphically, game looks awesome and give RR3 a bearing on Gran Turismo: real cars and realistic tracks. We’d like to know how realistic crashes will be, lest a cloud appears to fish you and bring you back onto the road, and if that super smooth feeling will feel like real driving or not. Meanwhile, unfocused interviews with EA staff won’t help much. We trust in EA’s capability to make great games, especially when this game will be the third on the RR series, but what we actually wonder is whether this game will be able to beat the existing sublime driving games. By the way, we’d like to remark that driving games have been pretty lucky when ported to mobile devices. Other genres haven’t been so far.
We don’t know either how much it will focused on multiplayer based on previous experiences on similar games. Stay tuned, as soon as we know anything else we’ll let you know.
