PREVIEW: TurtleStrike for Android and iOS

If Mayan Prophecy isn’t finally true… 2013 is going to be a year of great releases on mobile gaming. In the last few days, we are receiving some press releases and preview requests featuring interesting titles that will delight both hard and soft gamers in the upcoming months. We will be posting here all of them for you, our dear AppsZoomers. Today we wanted to preview one of those games that will give room for talk: TurtleStrike.
TurtleStrike is a live turn-based strategy for Android and iOS, developed by eeGon Games, which is expected to be released on 1Q 2013. Yes, “live” means competitive multiplayer game that combines tabletop, turn-based strategy and RPG genres to bring an original gameplay.
This is a 2-players battle. Each player starts with 10 turtles. The goal is to wipe all enemy turtles. Players can move, shoot a missile (short-ranged), shoot a torpedo (long-ranged), use shield and other secret special weapons… whatever to defeat the enemy before running out of turtles.

In order to achieve that, players must set their strategy before the game starts. There are different shapes and formations to choose among. As you can see in the picture attached, the game is set in cool 3D graphics with some interesting animations. We hope developers focus on making it running smoothly even on medium-end devices.
eeGon states that online features are a must. Thus, there will be regular tournaments, real-time turns (that’s it no more waiting for your opponent’s turn) since both players take their turns at the same time and, finally, a hard servers maintenance to ensure no lag even on 3G networks.
We’re looking forward to give it a go.
