AndroidZoom is AppsZoom now

One more year, here we are again. Three years ago we had an idea that turned out to be a good one, we gathered the best human team possible and we dived into the adventure of cataloguing and reviewing every single app that fell into our eager hands. Back at the time, everything was brand new, so we had to make decisive steps towards a direction that no one knew where it led to. We felt like pioneers and, in fact, we were: Androidzoom was on of the first websites orientated to map an expanding universe made of mobile applications. We made changes at every minute, but we had a clear idea of what we wanted to do and we went for it with all the consequences, no matter what. We are not afraid of changes, and neither should you.

Nowadays, we strongly believe that the mobile industry, in general, and the applications, in particular, have come to stay for a long while. Mobile phones can save lives in an emergency situation and can help different people in the most diverse kind of issues and experiences, not to mention the zillion of things that haven’t occurred to us yet and that make the horizon more promising than ever. In the meantime, we can play, chat and share. And in this enormous, gigantic ocean full of apps, we want to stay by your side to guide you, to play and to share with you.

Therefore, we have decided to take a step forward in order to continue growing and cover whatever is necessary. AppsZoom will be even more than the website with more apps reviewed so far (3,5K), and more than one of the most powerful recommendation engines and indexers around: the evolution towards AppsZoom is only the spearhead of a bunch of apparently invisible changes needed to fulfill users’ and developers’ needs alike, to sow a fertile ground where we all can gather and work together to both create and have fun.

Nonetheless, we strongly believe that the most important to say goodbye to this cycle and welcome the next is, publicly, thank you all who have been along our side for all these years, reading, discussing and sharing. None of this would be possible without you, and we invite you to be with us in this upcoming stage of our voyage. Thank you very much.

There will indeed be changes, for sure, but they’ll be wonderful.
