PREVIEW: Armello
0We just have put our paws on this pre-pre-pre-release trailer and we haven’t been able to resist the urge of sharing it with you all. Besides how the game will be and when it will be launched, which is discussed below, this trailer is worth of being watched more than once only for its awesomishliest (yes, we needed to coin a new word just to describe it) artistic quality.
Now that we are sure we have all your attention, let us tell you that Armello will be somehow ”a natively-digital multiplayer card and board game set in a fairy-tale animal kingdom” and “completely 3D, with beautifully animated visuals, an expansive meta-game and vast amounts of content” (both quotes by Armello’s staff). Frankly, we don’t have any idea about what it can mean at all, so we are sorry if we leave you guessing as we are. Perhaps it’s an animalistic homage to Game of Thrones, to Tolstoy’s War and Peace or to how Conan was crowned the king of Aquilonia, who knows, but what’s for sure is that you have to blame League of Geeks, something like a Aussie indie developers holy alliance determined to change the way games should be, for it.
Armello is expected to be launched at some point in 2013 and it’s being designed to optimal performance on tablets.
Now you can scroll up and watch the trailer again.
