Sometimes, when you talk to people about different mobile platforms, one of the most common arguments regarding Android is that it’s just too hard. And the truth is that we can’t really answer that, because those arguments are usually said by medium or advanced users who can’t really point out the difficulty of a particular operating system. Why? Well, simply because they can easily adjust to any of them in a quick and easy way.

That’s why one of the writers of El Androide Libre decided to try out the RAZR MAXX and compare his adjustment to the phone with his broher’s, who doesn’t know anything about technology. The following article shows the conclusions arrived and tries to bring the most important steps for an Android newbie.

I just want to use my phone for everything…

Some low-profile users tend to have this notion about mobile phones, but there’s no phone that actually does everything. Some phones might be great regarding battery usage but not really good multimedia characteristics, games, processor or quality-price relation.

So the first and most important thing we need to do is decide which device better matches our needs. If you don’t usually take pictures, you don’t really need a good camera; but you might play a lot of games, so a proper graphic card it’s required. Decide what you really want to get out of your phone, what is it that you could not live without.

Read a lot and keep reading

High profile users quickly configure everything while for the others it might take a bit longer to understand what they need to do when firstly using a new Android phone. The advice is simple: read every tutorial that appears on the screen because the great majority of things are explained there. And even if you think you know everything, it’s always useful to pay attention, every phone has its particular tricks.

No, I don’t have a Google Account, so what?Everyone who loves and uses Android have acknowledged that having a Google Account is essential, but a lot of people seem to think Google is still just a merely search engine service. And that is wrong basically because you need to connect your google Account to your device in order to download applications and use many other services. After having installed the account, everything seems to work smoothly and all the little pieces come together without even realizing it.The notification bar is there for somethingOne of Android’s main features is the notification bar, that upper bar that shows real-time information, message alerts, clock alarms, calendar dates, etc. So our advice this time is to never forget to scroll down the bar and take a look at the notifications to save time and worries. Let your phone inform you of the important things instead of doing it yourself!Touch and ask

The best and most practical advice when working with electronic devices is that your touch, try and learn. Because navigating through the menus, changing options and setting up configurations is the best way to learn how everything really works. That being said, it’s also necessary you are careful when doing so, as some of the operating options might have an unpleasant effect on your bill. If you’re unsure about anything, just ask someone with more experience and let them to show you how to do it, so you never forget it.

So that’s about it, for those who are not familiar with mobile technology, just follow this basic steps and enjoy the Android experience without the need of studying a huge handbook.
